Welcome to my portfolio!
Born and raised in Washington’s Grays Harbor, I have a passion for all things marine and the communities that depend on them. My academic research has focused on phytoplankton, our ocean’s primary producers, with a special interest in harmful species. I plan to continue studying the dynamic phytoplankton dynamics along the west coast after graduation while pursuing a doctorate in marine chemistry. I am currently working to integrate my phytoplankton expertise with GIS technology with the intention of enhancing the understanding of harmful algal (HAB) blooms and their prediction.
