My Home - Grays Harbor

  • This map was created to introduce Grays Harbor, Washington, my home. Grays Harbor is located along western Washington's Coast. Numerous rivers flow into the estuary, including the Chehalis, Humptulips and Elk. To the north lays Ocean Shores and to the south is Westport. This map highlights some of the Harbor's must see destinations for those who find inspiration in all things natural, as well as a few other locations important to me.

  • Points of interest are numbered and include brief descriptions. Water access points and state and city parks are symbolized. Other layers include a Grays Harbor County shapefile which was used to clip WDFW water access, WA roads, parks, city shapefiles and USGS elevation data. A NOAA bathymetry highlights the unique circulation patterns of the Grays Harbor estuary.
